Life at The Fleet Care Home

The Fleet Care Home in Dartmouth provides a warm, friendly atmosphere as well as a wide range of excellent services and amenities. Residents have everything they need to make the most of their stay, from scheduled activities such as arts and crafts to pampering time in our hairdressing salon.

Our senior care home in Devon was designed with the needs of residents in mind. Residents can spend time with like-minded people who enjoy an active and varied lifestyle as much as they do. We have it all covered in our activities programme, whether it’s playing bingo, painting, or enjoying visits from musicians, there’s always something to help keep our residents stimulated.

Modern En-suite Rooms

The Fleet Care Home’s en-suite rooms have all been renovated to the highest of standards, with modern furnishings and comfortable seating. Each of the residents’ rooms come with a nurse call system to enable 24-hour assistance, as well as temperature-controlled central heating and water. Each room has a single bed and an en-suite bathroom, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. If preferred, residents can personalise their rooms by incorporating personal décor.

Dining

Our in-house chef and kitchen staff make delicious, varied, and healthy meals every day. Seasonal dishes are produced and tailored to our residents’ food preferences. Family and friends are always welcome to join us for meals to spend quality time with their loved ones in one of our dining rooms. A space in our private dining room can be organised if a special occasion is approaching. Residents can also experience regular afternoon tea in their rooms or one of our lounges as well as snacks and refreshments in between standard meal times.

Expansive Gardens

Our house has a large private garden with lots of lovely flowers and foliage for a relaxed atmosphere. When the weather permits, It’s the ideal place for residents and loved ones to mingle, watch the wildlife go by and for outside games and entertainment to take place. During the summer months, residents can also have the option to dine outside.

Hairdressing Salon

Our hairdressing salon offers everything residents need to feel pampered such as a wash and cut or head massage, whatever they desire. Our hair services are included in the overall costs, so residents can expect to look their best at all times. Residents can schedule appointments with our hairdresser available every Wednesday.

Arts & Crafts

All of our residents enjoy our arts & crafts programmes. Our arts & crafts are often influenced by seasonal events like Easter and Christmas, where our residents can participate in preparing and decorating our home. Our residents benefit from our workshops because they help to improve their physical and emotional well-being, therefore we actively urge each and every one of them to join in on the fun.

The Cove Bistro at The Fleet Care Home is an intimate, five-star cafe and restaurant where residents can indulge in a variety of delicious food and participate in regular events. Located within the home, residents can easily access our luxurious bistro throughout the day. For those visiting during the day, the café is the perfect spot to take a break and relax while enjoying fresh coffee and a selection of cakes.
