Deputy ManagerSharon EdenDeputy ManagerSharon is our Deputy Manager here at The Fleet Care Home, having been qualified for 27 years and having worked in care for 34 years. Sharon has predominantly worked in elderly care throughout her career but has experience in many other areas within care and earned a few additional strings to her bow.Sharon has specialist qualifications in Tissue Viability, Diabetes, and Infection Control.Outside of work, Sharon enjoys reading and animals and often brings her 4-month-old puppy, Micah to work and visit the residents.John Liversage

Adam works in care because he believes that everybody deserves to live a happy and dignified life in the way they see fit even if they need help to achieve it. “Regarding my work, I am passionate about person-centred care which I believe is the most important segment of our numerous duties. If the passionate section is more about my personal life, I am most passionate about educating people in my own way about the importance of history and human nature through the lens of history.
As a hobby I do like a good long drive, it enables me to think clearly. I also like to lose myself in fantasy or sci-fi worlds while reading or watching movies”.

Senior Care AssistantAlison HackSenior Care AssistantAlison started working at The Fleet 2 years and 5 months ago, has been working in care since 2005 and hasn’t looked back. “I think it’s a pleasure to give back to the residents I care for, our residents are lovely and make each day worthwhile. I horse ride on my days off and I like to drive. I care for my mum and my daughter whose disabled with arthritis, sometimes it’s hard but I wouldn’t want it any other way. I work with some of the best people and it always feels like a family.”

Bradley Thorne
Senior Care AssistantBradley ThorneSenior Care AssistantBradley has been working within care for over 10 years and he loves what he does, especially caring for people within our home. At The Fleet, he works throughout our home as he is a ‘Senior Care Assistant’ and also helps with clinical administration.
Outside of work, Bradley enjoys spending his time with his Wife Kelly and his dog Benji. Benji is often seen at The Fleet’s Pet Group! Bradley also loves music and he is a huge fan of Elvis – He has even gone to Graceland not once but twice!
Lizzie Callan
AdministratorLizzie CallanAdministratorLizzie has been working at The Fleet since it opened and is passionate about her role within our home. She finds the best part of her job is helping make the residents feel happy in a safe and secure environment. Lizzie loves being a part of the team and is known to spend time with the residents getting to know each one of them.
Lizzie takes the families of prospective residents around the home ensuring they get to meet as many of the team as possible. This is part of the job she really enjoys and is always proud to show our home to them.
Outside of work, Lizzie enjoys spending time with her loved ones and motorbiking across Europe.

Care AssistantHolly WinsorCare AssistantHolly is one of our wonderful Care Assistants. After completing her degree in counselling, Holly decided that wanted to be more hands-on and has loved getting to know each and every resident here at The Fleet.
Kimberley Heales
Activities CoordinatorKimberley HealesActivities CoordinatorKimberley is our Activities Coordinator and works within the healthcare industry purely because she loves helping others! She is a passionate member of the team and really focuses on helping our Dementia Care residents by improving these individuals’ well-being!
She is often seen singing and dancing around The Fleet because of her huge love of music. Kimberley put on multiple events and activities for our home and captures these special moments on camera.
Kimberley works closely with the local community and often sets up fundraisers for various local causes!

Housekeeping AssistantPammyHousekeeping AssistantPammy is one of our ‘Housekeeping Assistants’ at our home and she is a massive part of making sure our home remains to be a tidy and safe environment. Pammy is known for taking time to speak to our residents and forming relationships with people new to our home.
Catherine Buscombe
Housekeeping AssistantCatherine BuscombeHousekeeping AssistantCatherine is a Housekeeping Assistant here at The Fleet Care Home, having joined the team in June 2022. Catherine has loved getting to know everyone and enjoys a good chat with our residents; she finds her role to be very rewarding. In Catherine’s spare time, she enjoys walking her dog, looking after her grandson and baking and decorating cakes.
Nicholas Davies
Laundry AssistantNicholas DaviesLaundry AssistantNick along with Sue runs the Laundry here at The Fleet Care Home in Dartmouth. Nick’s job is to ensure that not only is there plenty of bed and table linen and towels on all of the floors but also that all of the residents have their personal clothes washed and returned to them. It’s an important job and both Nick and Sue feel rather proud of their “part of the ship”, having it run really smoothly. When Nick isn’t collecting and distributing, he likes to try and find the time to stop and chat with our residents.

Laundry AssistantSue JamesLaundry AssistantSue works as a ‘Laundry Assistant’ at The Fleet and ensures that our home is well organised and our resident’s belonging are cleaned in a timely manner.
She has been working within the home for some time now and enjoys speaking with our residents. Outside of work, Sue loves to read and eating her Husbands fabulous cooking!

Tracey loves dealing face-to-face with people and is very passionate about her role at The Fleet and being able to build relationships with our residents and visitors.

ReceptionistRomy HitchensReceptionistRomy Hitchens is part of the reception team at the Fleet Care Home. Previously working at the Dartmouth Golf Club as a receptionist in the Spa. This is Romy’s first role within the care industry and is really enjoying getting to know the residents. Outside of work Romy really enjoys painting.
