When you stay with us at The Fleet Care Home, we think that you should be able to make the most of every day. We encourage all residents to keep doing what makes them happy, whether it’s taking in the local beauty or indulging in Afternoon Tea – we do everything we can to provide residents with everything they need to live the life they deserve.

Our Activity Coordinators make sure that our care home provides inclusive activities, from arts and crafts to social outings and visiting performers. For those living with dementia, we have a variety of activities and alternative therapies. We also organise shopping trips and visits to interesting places on a regular basis, and we have great ties to the local community.

An Active & Diverse Lifestyle

Visits to beaches, the local garden centre, shopping centres, as well as bingo and quiz mornings, and music events, are just a few examples of activities that are carried out at The Fleet Care Home. We are fortunate to be located in Dartmouth within the county of Devon, just a few minutes from the sea, so there are always plenty of day trips scheduled as well as beautiful coastal scenery to enjoy. Residents can also use our chauffeur-driven Mercedes to get to and from their selected location.

Yes. We regularly bring pets such as dogs, cats and reptiles into our home. This activity is always guaranteed to boost a resident’s mood, residents can hold and/or stroke the animal whilst learning fascinating facts about their new friend.

We at The Fleet House Care Home like to get involved with the local community and develop relationships with individuals who live and work within our town. With regular visits from local schools and nurseries, as well as regular outings to the beach, local shops, cafes, garden centres, and pubs, we have created numerous partnerships with the community. Residents can take advantage of numerous possibilities that Dartmouth has to offer.

Local entertainers are a hit with both residents and staff. Entertainers love to regularly perform in front of our devoted audience as residents can’t help but to sing along and dance the afternoon away.
