From Totnes, follow the A381 east and join the A3122 near Halwell/Littlehempston, which runs into Dartmouth. From Kingsbridge, take the A381 east towards Totnes, then turn onto the A3122 at Halwell into Dartmouth (All these routes end on Victory/Victoria Road in Dartmouth.) Dartmouth itself has no train station. The nearest station is Totnes (about 12 miles/20–25 min away). Totnes is on the main Exeter to Plymouth line (with trains from Exeter St Davids, Plymouth or London). From Totnes station, you can take a taxi or the local bus into Dartmouth (the journey is roughly 15–20 minutes). (For example, Stagecoach buses from Totnes drop off at Dartmouth’s bus stops.) Some visitors also use Paignton station (on the Dartmouth Steam Railway) and then cross the River Dart by ferry into Dartmouth, but the Totnes route is more direct for standard rail travel.

Stagecoach South West runs several bus routes serving Dartmouth. For instance, Route 92 operates regularly between Totnes and Dartmouth and Route 3 provides an hourly service from Plymouth into Dartmouth. A local Route 93 links Kingsbridge with Dartmouth via Stoke Fleming. These buses call at stops near Dartmouth town centre (e.g. on Manor Road by the Post Office or Fore Street near the Townsend House medical centre), within easy walking distance of the care home. There is also a Dartmouth Park & Ride just outside town on the A3122, with frequent buses (Route 91/92) into Dartmouth, which visitors can use if preferred. (Visitors should check the latest timetables on the Stagecoach or Traveline websites.)

The Fleet Care Home is fully accessible for guests with mobility needs. Our main entrance has a step-free ramp and level thresholds. Inside, wide corridors and level floors make it easy to move between rooms. We provide designated disabled parking bays close to the entrance. Our friendly staff are always on hand to assist visitors as needed, whether helping from a wheelchair to a chair or just guiding the way.
