The Fleet Care Home continues to develop into the care home of choice for Dartmouth and surrounding areas.&nbsp;Having recently been graded in May 2022 by the Care Quality Commission as an overall Good rated home, The Fleet has now completed a major refurbishment to two further floors at the home, bringing online a further 40 ensuite rooms that will be providing nursing care in addition to the 39 ensuite rooms that offer residential, nursing, dementia and respite care.

The refurbishment has seen the 40 bedrooms have a major transformation into beautiful appointed ensuite bedrooms that are spacious, light and airy and tastefully decorated.&nbsp; With a dining room, lounge, quiet room and assisted bathroom on each floor it really does offer a warm and inviting environment for yourself or a loved one to reside and to be part of a community.&nbsp;Not only do we offer luxury facilities but we also pride ourselves on providing the very best in person-centred care, which has been recognised by the care regulators.&nbsp;

Damon Drummond, the Home Manager commented:

"The Fleet has always offered a lovely environment for our residents and their families but with the addition of these further 40 bedrooms, it means that we can further assist local people who are looking for nursing care whilst staying close to their friends and family.&nbsp;The care and well-being of our residents are always our top priority and I am fortunate to have a team that is so dedicated and caring and ensures that everyone is able to lead an enriched lifestyle.&nbsp;The completion of the refurbishment really is the icing on the cake and enables us to offer residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for up to 79 residents."

Damon further commented – "Maintaining links with the local community is a key focus of the home and part of the refurbishment plans was to choose new names for the floors.&nbsp; Having consulted with the residents and team we have selected names of Drake, Nelson, Ramsay and Walker, tying into the Naval heritage which we are proud to be associated with."&nbsp;
